Ms. Tavazzi is an analytical chemist by formation who joined the EC JRC in 2011 to develop and apply mass spectrometry-based methods for detecting and quantifying contaminants of emerging concern in environmental waters. Since the beginning of the pandemic, she has been involved in the wastewater surveillance activities of the EC-JRC, taking care of the organisation and coordination of sampling activities and collecting and reporting analytical data.
