Priv.-Doz. Dr. rer. nat. habil. med. Schreiber is an experienced scientist in the interdisciplinary field of water and health. Her main focus is on water hygiene, environmental microbiology and medical geography:
- prevention, risk assessment, contamination sources and paths
- catchment management, treatment, supply systems, technical water systems, re-use, retention, urban blue, etc.
- pathogens, antibiotic resistances, chemicals, micro-pollutants, impacts by climate change, health impacts by different water uses
- different types of water: raw water, drinking water, sewage, storm water, surface waters, bathing water, cooling water etc.
Currently, she is working as scientific expert in the commercial and industrial sector as well as for the public sector. For research and education, she is still associated as Senior Fellow with the IHPH - Institute for Hygiene and Public Health, Medical Faculty, University of Bonn.
