Sabine graduated in 1997 in civil engineering, specializing in water, waste, and transport . She began her professional career in international consulting in the water sector. In 2005, she transitioned to a state office subordinate to the Saarland Ministry of Environmental Protection and Occupational Safety,focusing on water protection, and, at the same time, completed a master's degree in Evaluation with a focus on Development Cooperation. Since 2017, Sabine has been working for GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit), initially in Rwanda on a good governance project. Since the beginning of 2020, she has been working as a technical advisor at GIZ headquarters in Germany, concentrating on projects in the waste sector and circular economy.
