Chemical recycling processes can produce raw materials for the chemical industry from plastic-containing waste that is difficult to recycle, for example composite materials such as electronic scrap or rotor blades. The processing of preliminary and intermediate products from chemical recycling, e.g. pyrolysis oils, is also crucial for economic efficiency and ecological balance. The lecture will address the best-known chemical recycling processes and explain the corresponding downstream processes.
