This presentation introduces the DACE project and demonstrates how data and data literacy can be used to make the circular economy measurable. Using a practical example from the packaging sector, the results of a life cycle assessment (LCA) are combined with circularity indicators to evaluate various R-strategies. This demonstrates how data-driven approaches can support decision-making processes at the product, company, and system levels. The presentation highlights the importance of integrated assessment methods and provides insights for research and practice to develop and compare sustainable, circular solutions in a well-founded manner.
