Bettina graduated in industrial engineering in 2001. She started her professional career first in classical and then in technical management consulting and specialized early in business development and project development. In 2004 she changed to private industry and environmental engineering. First, she worked in the fields of renewable energy, water treatment and processing and then in 2011 she shifted her focus to waste management technologies. Since 2018 she has been working for GIZ, first in Berlin for the cooperation of the German waste management industry with German development cooperation and since the beginning of 2023 she is part of the Mitigation Action Facility team supporting Circular Waste Solutions in India.
