Full professor, head of Group of Technical Electrochemistry, Head of Department of Inorganic Technology at the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague, Czech Republic. His main interest is in electrochemical technology and engineering: electrochemical cells design and optimisation, electrocatalysts and polymer electrolytes development and characterisation, mathematical modelling for interpretation of the global experimental data, as well as for development and optimisation of electrochemical systems. Currently, focus is on the fuel cells and water electrolysis technologies, including low, medium and high temperature ones. Serves as a chair of the Working Party on Electrochemical Engineering at EFCE. Supervisor of 16 finished Ph.D. Thesis. Beside research projects, participation in the educational projects in the field of hydrogen technologies, both on national, as well as on an European level.
