Peter studied automotive engineering at HAN University in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, and worked for 25 years in the automotive field, of which 13 years on car safety and type-approval at the European Commission. In 2022, he joined the Machinery, Equipment and AI unit and became responsible for the sector covering machinery and related products. Apart from engaging with the sector’s stakeholders on a daily basis, he is also working on the implementation of the two new key sectorial regulations, covering machinery safety, as well as on-road circulation of mobile machinery.
