What challenges will our cities, counties, and municipalities face in the future in order to make core public services such as drinking water supply and wastewater disposal resilient, or in relation to extreme weather events caused by climate change? What do sustainable energy concepts look like? The German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW) and the German Association for Water, Wastewater, and Waste (DWA) are talking to municipal umbrella organizations and the German Federal Ministry for the Environment about the effects of climate change and the changed security situation. How do we need to adapt public infrastructure to make ourselves more resilient and protect ourselves against new risks? What political framework conditions are needed and where are there already best practices? Talk to us.
