HyTrA: From sunshine to secure energy. A hydrogen microgrid proven in Cape Town

The HyTrA project delivered a containerised hydrogen microgrid (PV, battery, electrolysis, H2 storage, fuel cell) that has been proven under real conditions in Cape Town. The demonstrator validated resilient, grid-independent, CO2-neutral power, especially during load shedding, providing transferable insights for industrial backup and operations.
