Durk Krol is the Executive Director of Water Europe, a vision-driven association established by the European Commission as the European Technology Platform for Water. Bringing together around 300 members from across the entire water value chain, Water Europe drives research, innovation, and policy to build a Water-Smart Society and economy where the true value of water is recognised and realised.

With over 20 years of experience in the European water sector, Durk combines strategic insight with a strong commitment to collaboration. He holds two master’s degrees, in International Law and Languages and Cultures of Latin America from Leiden University, and an MBA from the United Business Institutes in Brussels.
