New EU regulations such as PPWR, ELV and WEEE directive are implementing binding quotad for the use of recycled materials in the future. However, it is already forseeable that the demand for recycled materials will exceed current supplies. We will discuss on available solutions and the opportunities and risk that may arise.

Tire recycling is becoming increasingly important in the wake of ELV-R and ESPR. Extended producer responsibility is also coming into focus, meaning that tire manufacturers and importers will have to take greater responsibility for the take-back and recycling of their products in the future. We provide a general overview on this topic.
