Frank Dietzsch

Frank Dietzsch ist derzeit Leiter Ordnungsrahmen Gastechnologien und Energiesysteme Deutschen Verein des Gas- und Wasserfaches e. V. (DVGW) in Bonn. Er verfügt über langjährige Erfahrung (mehr als 18 Jahre) in der Gaswirtschaft in Bereichen wie Versorgungssicherheit, kritische Infrastrukturen, Umgestaltung des Gasnetzes, Transparenzanforderungen, elektronischer Datenaustausch und intelligente Messsysteme. Er ist in der nationalen und europäischen Ausschussarbeit gut vernetzt und hat Zugang zu den wichtigsten europäischen Normungsinstituten und Behörden.

Bevor er zum DVGW kam, war er Projektleiter eines europäischen Projekts zur hochpräzisen GNSS-Überwachung im Rahmen des 6. Rahmenprogramms der Europäischen Kommission bei der E.ON Ruhrgas AG in Essen.

Herr Dietzsch wurde 1975 in Nordrhein-Westfalen geboren. Er schloss 2001 sein Studium als Vermessungsingenieur an der Universität Bonn ab. Anschließend absolvierte er von 2003 bis 2005 eine Weiterbildung zum Assessor für den höheren vermessungstechnischen Verwaltungsdienst bei der Bezirksregierung Köln.

Mr. Frank Dietzsch is today head of regulatory framework gas technologies and energy systems in DVGW German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water in Bonn. He has long-term experience (more than 18 years) within gas industry in topics such as security of supply, critical infrastructures, gas network transformation, transparency requirements, electronic data exchange and smart metering. He is well networked in national and European committee work and has access to the main European standardisation institutions and authorities.

Before he worked for DVGW, he was project leader of an European project on GNSS high-precision monitoring within 6th framework programm of European Commission in E.ON Ruhrgas AG, Essen.

Mr. Dietzsch was born in 1975 in North-Rhine Westfalia, Germany. He graduated as a geodesy engineer from the university Bonn in 2001. He then extended his training in the years 2003 to 2005 as an assessor for the higher surveying administrative service at the Cologne district government.

DVGW has developed a full set of standards for newbuilding of hydrogen pipelines as well as conversion of gas grids for the use of hydrogen. These rules and regulations are based on extensive research over the last 10 years as well as multiple field tests. The DVGW set of standards also ensure sage operation of the future hydrogen infrastructure.
