Konstantinos Verganelakis, IFC, World Bank Group

Seasoned executive with 25 years of experience in the waste management and energy infrastructure sectors across Greece, Europe, and the Middle East. Before joining the IFC, World Bank Group, i served as COO of Geocycle Hellas (Holcim Group) leading operations in waste management systems, energy from waste and recycling. I have held senior leadership roles including Chief Executive Officer of Herhof GmbH and COO of WATT S.A. overseeing major waste management, energy recovery, and infrastructure initiatives. I hold an MSc in Sustainable Energy Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and a Mechanical Engineering degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
