Conference

This session will provide insights into the practical struggles of both the supply and demand side of climate finance in cities. Panellists will explore missed-opportunity projects that need new ways and support in getting finance ready. They will also discuss the structural challenges of investors and rigidity of the finance sector providing capital to city projects. The discussion will get into concrete processes for project development from both the perspectives of project developers and financiers. By understanding the reasons for the observed disconnect, the session aims to identify what each side can offer or do to meet the needs of the other, fostering better collaboration and more effective financing solutions.
