Dr. Hamprecht is the Vice President responsible for coordinating the Global Plastics Steering Committee of BASF SE. In this role he develops the global roadmap of BASF for circular plastics in collaboration with the plastic businesses of BASF and in close exchange with their stakeholders. Previously, he has led the Market Development of BASF for compostable plastics. In parallel to his role in the industry, he has led research on the transformation of industries to net zero emissions at ETH Zurich. He is a co-founder of Plastic Recovery: Land&Sea and he guides the upscaling of projects on the collection and the recycling of mixed plastic waste in Indonesia. He completed his PhD at University of St. Gallen, following engineering studies at ETH Zurich and Imperial College, London.
