Johannes has studied “Textile Structures and Technologies” at the Technical university Chemnitz and since 2018, he is working at STFI. He started as a working student and since March 2020 he works as a Research Associate. In his work he is focusing on the optimization of mechanical recycling technologies and the therefore needed input composition as well as the processing of recycled fibers and the design for and design with recycling. He is a member in a number of national and international working groups and standardization committees surrounding circular economy or circular textiles. Furthermore, Johannes is giving lectures at the TU Dresden, the TU Chemnitz and the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee on textile waste management systems and textile recycling.
