EPR for Textiles - Objectives and Environmental Goals

Jonas Stracke

Info
We examine the goals of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for textiles and the associated potential environmental requirements. Based on the initial findings of a project funded by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) in collaboration with GRS PRO, we discuss the opportunities and challenges of textile recycling, in particular waste reduction, the promotion of the circular economy, the development of durable, recyclable textiles, and the requirements for the effective implementation of EPR.
