Sascha Roth ist Diplom-Politologe. Bis 2021 arbeitete er bei verschiedenen zivilgesellschaftlichen Organisationen zur Klimapolitik sowie zur  ökologischen und sozialen Ausgestaltung von globalen Wertschöpfungsketten. Von 2013 bis 2021 war er als Referent für Umweltpolitik beim NABU-Bundesverband tätig und arbeitete dort zur Abfallpolitik und Kreislaufwirtschaft in Deutschland und Europa. Seit August 2021 arbeitet Sascha Roth als Bereichsleiter im BDE zu den Themen Biomasse, Elektrorecycling, Alttextilien und Wasserwirtschaft und setzt sich für eine Transformation der linearen Wirtschaft zu einer ressourcen- und klimaschonenden circular economy ein.

 

Sascha Roth studied political science and economics at the University of Bamberg. He worked in several civil society organisations on climate policy and sustainable global value chains. From 2013 to 2021 he was an environmental policy officer working on waste and circular economy at the headquarters of the Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU) in Berlin. Since August 2021 he is division manager at the Federation of the German Waste, Water, and Raw Material Management Industry (BDE e.V.). There he is responsible for the sections bio waste, electrical and electronic equipment waste, textile waste and water economy.
