Giorgia strongly believes that the involvement of cities and regions is vital to drive forward sustainability and to achieve the objectives of the Paris Agreement. Partnerships across levels of government, as well as with institutions, stakeholders and the private sector are crucial to meet these goals, and to support local action.

Giorgia is the Director of Mission Innovation’s Urban Transitions Mission since 2022, and works to mobilize decision makers across all levels of government to prioritise climate-neutral and net-zero pathways enabled by clean energy and systemic innovation across all sectors and in urban governance. Within the Mission she manages, Giorgia works to empower cities to adopt innovative solutions and reach the tipping points in the cost and scale of those solutions for urban transitions, by accelerating capacity-building and closing the gap between research, development and deployment.

Giorgia has over 15+ years of experience in the fields of international urban diplomacy and climate and energy policy, supporting local and subnational governments in developing sound policies, science-based and data driven plans and solutions in response to the challenges of climate change.
